DESCRIPTION:*Vea abajo para versión en español \nRALLY: 5PM-6PM\, WEAR RED \nCITY COUNCIL MEETING: 6:30PM-9PM \nWe are bringing awareness to the city of Denton about the unconstitutional “Show Me Your Papers” law SB4. On Aug 30 a Texas judge temporarily stopped significant portions of SB4 from taking effect on Sep 1. Soon after\, TX Attorney General Ken Paxton\, who also led the repeal of DACA\, filed a lawsuit challenging the Aug 30th decision. \nSB4 fuels hate\, creates fear\, and makes Denton less safe. Now more than ever it is time for Denton to be on the right side of history and join the lawsuit against SB4. Let’s stop SB4 once and for all!. \nWe invite you to a rally to educate all Dentonites about SB4 and ask you to support those who will be speaking to council members and encouraging them to join litigation against SB4 along with Dallas\, Austin\, Houston\, San Antonio\, El Paso and even El Cenizo. If El Cenizo can join the lawsuit\, so can Denton! \nWe will rally peacefully in the courtyard of City Hall prior to the city council scheduled session and ask you to also attend the city council meeting from 6:30PM-9:00PM \nDenton Residents Against SB4 (DRA-SB4) is a coalition of local individuals and groups committed to Denton and to educate our community about this unjust law. \n————————–————————–————————-\nRALLY: 5PM-6PM\, Vistase de rojo \nREUNION DEL CONCILIO DE LA CIUDAD DE DENTON: 6:30PM-9PM \nEstaremos educando a la comunidad de Denton sobre la ley inconstitucional “Demuestrame tus papeles” SB4. El 30 de agosto un juez en Tejas detuvo temporalmente gran parte de esta ley impidiendo que tomara efecto el 1ero de septiembre. Poco despues el Procurador General de Tejas Ken Paxton\, el mismo que dirigió el esfuerzo que causó que DACA fuera terminada\, introdujo una demanda en contra de la decision del 30 de agosto. \nSB4 induce el odio\, crea miedo\, y hace que Denton sea una ciudad menos segura. Ahora mas que nunca es necesario que Denton se una a la demanda en contra a la SB4. Paremos a la SB4 definitivamente! \nLos invitamos a la concentración para educar a todos los residentes de Denton sobre la SB4 y para apoyar a los residentes que van a hablarle a nuestros representates sobre la importancia de que Denton se una a la demanda en contra de la SB4 junto a ciudades como Dallas\, Austin\, Houston\, San Antonio\, El Paso e incluso El Cenizo.
