In solidarity with the call for a Statewide Strike and Youth Rally Against Hate on September 1st against SB 4, the day this racist, anti-immigrant, and anti-worker law is set to go into effect, the Sanctuary UT network and supporting organizations are calling for a Walk-Out and Rally of UT students, faculty, and staff at 10:30am Friday, September 1st against SB 4 and against white supremacy!
We encourage all who are able and willing to walk out or skip class, and leave work to join us on the West Mall near the Cesar Chavez statue for a rally before marching to the Texas State Capitol Building in solidarity with other striking students and workers, including high-school students and youth from other cities and towns across Texas!!
